Cancelled Amazon Prime today

Same, for all that but United. I am trying not to fly period, but if I have to I don't know who I would use. I started cancelling stuff over a year ago, and I was just thinking about how I could do less, lol. So I think I'm gonna pirate stuff.

Did not screenshot it but my husband and I cancelled Amazon Prime this week. 👍

Does it count that we’ve gone cold-turkey on ordering on Amazon? That translated to more shopping local, so win-win.

Canceled Netflix and Amazon is next. I canceled Facebook and X years ago.

Not to mention, it better informs others of companies worthy of cancelling in pursuit of this great endeavor!

I failed to mention: I also deleted all my Meta profiles on January 20, at noon. I miss my Facebook friends but I don't miss Facebook, and this was my protest against the inauguration.

I cancelled my Washington Post subscription as well as Netflix. I'm unhooking from Amazon where I can buy from independent retailers. I have also started ordering $3.99 stuff from Amazon Prime, because I'm spiteful - not real proud of that.

Love that we’re cancelling things that suck. Know what doesn’t suck? The circular economy. We could cancel lots of fascism-funding harm AND buy what we need just by clicking the ‘used’ filter when we shop. eBay’s great for this (but skip Amazon- they just seem to sell their own returns, sans QA).

I just cancelled Netflix. I had cancelled them before but renewed in October because I cancelled Disney/Hulu and before that I cancelled Paramount+. I have been boycotting as much Amazon/good reads/ Bezos, and instead do BUYcott Costco & bookshop.org because they gave $45 mill. to local bookstores.

Just did that on my page. Did Paramount two days ago.

On your website you don’t list stores and products like coke, target, hobby lobby,etc….that I have been avoiding….where can I get this list?

I canceled my Apple One subscription - but kept Apple News. Kind of a half-assed cancel. I canceled my @washingtonpost.com subscription because I am a woke warrior. I don't get why you were bagging on @karaswisher.bsky.social about that. It's part of what makes @pivotpod.bsky.social fantastic.

I’ve cancelled Paramount+ and Netflix. I would love to cancel Charter Internet, but my only other options are ATT and companies that use ATT lines. I don’t use the other companies recommended.

Nicole Wallace was talking about this today on her show. They were right about how good you feel after each cancel click. Binge watching prime as it doesn’t end until March 30.

If there is only ONE you can do on that list, it is definitely Amazon. 1. Trump boot-licking 2. Monopolistic behavior 3. Too monolitic, not in the interest of consumers 4. Anti-worker

Unsubscribed rom AMAZON Prime. It's sucked since COVID anyway. For me it never returned to pre-COVID levels of service.

Thanks Scott for enabling this highly effective economic resistance. I unsubscribed to Apple TV+ all of Meta, Paramount+ and most of Amazon. The ancillary benefit of cancelling many subscriptions (some of which I forgot I had) is a monthly savings of $100+! How about boycotting Fox News advertisers?

Canceled Peacock (6 mo. Sub so not ending until July, so I still will get the Olympics😊), and Paramount and AppleTV. Small acts like this matter! Thank you! 🙏

What if you picked one service to highlight each month on your podcasts? For example, “This month I unsubscribed from Amazon Prime, they do xyz for ICE. I am calling on folks to do the same.” Might be more powerful and impactful than spreading out the cancellations among all companies? Thoughts?

Cancelled Netflix with the explicit comment that we are supporting Resist and Unsubscribe. We will also not buy from Amazon for the rest of the month.
