On my way to Christos to fed my moussaka craving this morning after the Art Museum and walked by the the memorial for Mr. Pretti - Minneapolis has not forgotten you sir. Rest in peace knowing you are greatly respected and lovingly remembered.

Was so taken by the beauty and intricacy of this cup. I wish I had noted the date but it was BCE in Iran and I just found this so compelling. I wonder what Western ‘civilization’ was up to 2000 years ago? 🤔Thank you Minneapolis Inst. of Arts - you keep me coming back.

Sure. What could possibly go wrong with this, cuz no other countries would take advantage of this opportunity to strike us where we are not defended.

Supply churn: The US military plans to commit nearly its entire inventory of JASSM-ER cruise missiles to the Iran war, drawing them from stockpiles in other regions. The order to pull the $1.5 million weapon from Pacific stockpiles was issued at the end of March. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Why does Trump want to increase the defense budget by almost 50%? Because he sees it as a payoff to the guys who will help him establish his dictatorship of convenience.

“Sayz” He said “sayz” instead of says. Incredible they couldn’t get him to do a retake.

Listen to how Trump said “says” when he said, “As it *says* in the gospel of John.” Trump struggled to read his Good Friday message off his teleprompter and didn’t even bother to do a corrected take.

The Trump budget calls to eliminate the Native Hawaiian education program but doesn't eliminate the Alaskan Native education program. What's the difference, you might ask? One state voted for him, and one didn't.

Replying to @emptywheel.bsky.social

Plus, one of the reasons he reportedly did this purge is he's already worried Trump will replace him. And the (partly deserved) scapegoating of Whiskey Pete for failing to plan for Iran's response has only just began.

Elon Musk had DOGE defund USAID, the largest humanitarian organization in the world, causing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of deaths from starvation and disease - and Trump GLEEFULLY approved it. It’s the single most evil act in US history. Cartoon by Mike Luckovich

Defeatism? We don’t know her. Our community support-based campaign model demonstrates a new model for politics and engaged a record number of young voters. Now we’re not just going to keep doing that work. We’re helping campaigns across the country do the same.

If we bought a few less bombs, we could probably afford nice things. One thing I'd like to see from the next presidency would be to appoint a special commission to prepare a report on the actual cost to defend the United States from attack. Not foreign wars. Just the cost to defend this country.

Even if Trump loses at the Supreme Court, I promise you that opposition to birthright citizenship is already mandatory for any future Trump judicial nominees. The conservative legal movement never treats a decision it dislikes as "settled." It just waits for another shot.

Strengthen Union rights if you want to be woker-centered, public and private - no more 'Right to work' (for less) laws.

Shuler: We’re standing up for a worker-centered vision of America. And what is that vision? A vision where we aren’t just surviving—we’re thriving. And instead of pouring billions into a war we didn’t ask for, we invest that money right here in our schools, our hospitals, and our infrastructure.

Or, wages are too low. Bring back unions. They don't just lift their own wages & benefits. They lift all workers wages & benefits. That's why the powerful hate them & go to such lengths to destroy them. It's power & until the workers have more power everything they 'get' will be seen as a gift.

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

Shuler: Rent is still too high. Your paycheck still doesn’t stretch to the end of the month, and you’re still worried that the boss—or the people running this country—don’t give a damn about your family. We’re fed up with an economy that treats workers like an expense to be minimized

How old were the 'prostitutes'? Because if they were minors, they weren't prostitutes, they were abuse victims and this was rape.

Bruce Springsteen gave a rousing five-minute sermon about the “corruption in the White House,” calling out Attorney General Pam Bondi by name and ultimately imploring, “Let’s fight for the America we love. Are you with us?” The crowd of nearly 20,000 exploded.

The fact that Trump is going to oral arguments to pressure the justices to acquiesce to his attempted nullification of a constitutional amendment and create a stateless class for the first time since the civil war, illustrates what is really at the core of the Trump project and it isn’t tariffs.

We are alien beings to them. Unfathomable in what we value and hold dear. Incomprehensible in our willingness to risk our very wellbeing to fight for those same values.

I genuinely think the president and many of his advisers, scammers, hustlers, and keyboard gangsters, don’t understand this concept at all and you can see it in the pattern of their mistakes from Minneapolis to Tehran www.nytimes.com/2026/03/29/o...
