Autopsies show how hard doctors tried to save babies who died after not getting a vitamin K shot: tubes inserted in their airways, blood transfusions. They’re excruciating to read because they underscore how preventable these deaths could have been. By @deldeib.bsky.social

Darwin himself doesn’t want this THESE are the kind of parents who should be arrested Instead of young girls the insane “ChristianNationalists” think THEY have the right to control…

That's why vaccines should be mandatory for everyone within our borders. Some people are just too stupid to be trusted with their own health and that of the nation

Will these brainless politicians who are killing people by purposefully failing to address preventable diseases ever face accountability for their actions? Elon? RFK Jr? What's happening in Africa, as a result of the withdrawal of USAID, is akin to a holocaust. Many are dying here, too.

These autopsy reports need to be read aloud into public records in congress by the fools who make such stupid decisions. Horror stories ALL HAVE AUTOPSY REPORTS OF NON-VOTING INFANTS.

Sorry that wasn't clear--this piece is authors follow up reflection on the losses she documented in a previous article which was an extensive look at the issue--so I thought you might have missed first one. It's long so I just looked up summary info to answer the ? but here's 🔗 if anyone missed:

propublica.orgBabies Are Bleeding to Death as Parents Reject a Vitamin Shot Given at BirthA lifesaving injection given at birth to prevent severe bleeding has become collateral damage of the anti-vaccine movement.

I looked it up and someone might be able to expand on the explanation, but it sounds like since newborn babies don't have developed guts and digestion yet, the oral route would not guarantee adequated absorption of the vitamin. So they have to do an i.m. (intramuscular injection.) Good question.

Vitamin K is a necessary substance for bloodclotting, and is lifesaving if the baby has a deficiency. Vitamin K doesn't travel through the placenta or is transferred through breast milk well. One shot at birth typically provides enough to last until the baby starts eating solid food. #BrainBleed
