That analysis is extremely inaccurate, especially since it fails to realize that the Trump administration is aligned with Putin, and that Iran has been a proxy state of Russia since 1989. Iran is hitting shipping with low-energy projectiles because it is not being suppressed when it easily could be.

Republicans are worried NC-11 - a Trump+10 district - is already lost. If that’s replicated elsewhere it’s going to be carnage.
