Trump's political weakness is inflation in (R) districts. But supply constraints/shortages are usually spread out . BUT, if he goes lame duck, then a bargain could be made to impeach him on emoluments (like the Chinese granting his trademark) to set a sharp precendent. The cost is President Vance

Vance has done enough to deserve impeachment himself. Many of them have. If Trump goes, they all have to. Too many of them have the agenda fully memorised and will put it into action with Vance or someone else. The US is the one who really needs a regime change!

I think nearly no one wants a bribe-able President. Nail him for emoluments, and set that precedent. It should be harder for a billionaire to avoid bribery, not easier.

Well, potentially in that any changes he makes will last past his presidency. BUT, getting stricter emoluments might be worth it in the long run. Billionaires should have a harder time avoiding bribes, not easier.

Yup. Gödel figured this out decades ago. It was a cute, abstract paradox at the time. Then Trump showed up and it stopped being funny. Chomsky’s been saying this for years too.
