Greenland is an NATO Ally.

Because it is a self-governing territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, Greenland falls under NATO's security umbrella and Article 5 defense commitment, making its defense a shared responsibility. Any move that Trump makes to invade and occupy Greenland could start World War 3.
