I think @chaosgreml.in was onto something when they said we should consider running an image+OCR classifier pass to hide these by default, screenshot dunks basically only ever make me frown and keep scrolling

Implying that you don't like scrolling very much makes me further think about how the mainline client should probably have some kinda option to disable infinite scroll

Yes I know. My point is that it would be cool if that feature was also allowed as an option for the mainline client. That plus the ability to disable metrics would probably make people take the whole "social media as it should be" message a bit more seriously

Is it newsworthy that [prominent public official] is (or is friends with) the NOTD? Yes, it is. Write a few paragraphs about it somewhere else and post a picture of your cat, or perhaps a drawing of your cat, here instead.

Not trying 2B annoying here, but I enjoy when people dunk on Tw screenshots. I also like, more seriously, that people are keeping eyes on the enemy, so to speak. I can appreciate my tastes are not universal, but I'd hate for there to any sort of draconian "solution" in response to the OP's tastes.
