Always lovely when on call with an American and they're like Oh New Brunswick is that close to ... and you're just sat there fear of god at what's going to come out next Usually Toronto. Sometimes Montreal. Today it was NFLD. Like close ... idk I guess. Closer to it than other things.

I have stopped people from saying this by leaving no space for questions and saying "it's next to Maine" if someone's American

😬🚲Yikes on Bikes

@yikesonbikes.bsky.social

"ain't nothing east of Maine!" is a response I got (I should have said 'next to' apparently)

@raydoesdata.bsky.social

Yeah or bewilderment "there's an east....of MAINE??"

@fevered.bsky.social

I love responding to people who say this with "so you're telling me you've never seen a map before"

@willdickeson.bsky.social

Just use Map Tap fail feedback there? Just a few thousand hours of hiking away!

At least they didn’t say something like: “Oh New Brunswick. I had a friend who went to Rutgers…”

@raydoesdata.bsky.social
