Red Ring of Death #119, "The Principle of Creation," circa 2007. Fans were baffled by this strip, which appeared to be unambiguously promoting the Unification Church, aka the "Moonies" - especially strange, considering Shawn's avowed atheist stance. The strip was deleted only a day later.

I recall being very interested in the defamation lawsuits they threw at people. Got pretty quiet about them when he learned they all failed.

Would have been a 10/10 ahead-of-its-time shitpost if it hadn't been for the dirty delete and bizarre follow-up behavior

Shawn would never comment on the strip again, and would refuse to answer questions about the Unification Church. While I can't speak for him, I can confirm that both myself & his legal team could not reach him when the Church was made illegal in Japan earlier this year.

Didn’t someone in the comments find a fake “marriage certificate”buried in Shawn’s “private” folder in the server with Shawn written in to the groom line and “The Lord” written in as the bride? Or was that just a troll faker?
