the fact that console logs are now transferred by Next.js to the browser with a [Server] badge in devtools is wild. i thought it would be weird from the PRs but now i'm trying it and it feels so good

No one is going to say it so I will: this feature was built by the people on the react team working at vercel. Next.js could have easily built this only for themselves, but instead they helped build it into react for everyone.

And by the way, all those animation features we announced in React last week? The ones that benefit client rendered apps? Yeah, they were developed by the React Team at Vercel and work in any React framework or library.

It needs to be said because of the narratives people are throwing around about our work. But we don’t think about company divisions. We design things together as a team and ship things as a team. We all help out on design, experimentation, docs and anything else needed to make React better.

You won’t hear us say things like how the React Compiler RC last week was all developed by Meta, or this feature was this person or that company. It’s silly. We don’t think that way. That’s why it’s so wild for y’all to be questioning motivations and creating conspiracy theories.

or: they wanted it built into React so that people would view it as "official" and get motivated to learn about Next and Vercel 😏 of course, two things can be true 😉

huh? what's the though process there? "oh cool react has a feature and every framework supports it" *mental gymnastics* "i should look into nextjs specifically"
