The guy who opened fire at Comet Pizza because he'd cooked his brain online and believed they were a child sex trafficking hub was exactly as confident the people he was aiming at deserved it as Luigi Mangione, which is just one reason it's a bad idea to lionise vigilante murder.

Certainly aside from the substantive point, but it’s apparently my eternal curse to be the only person who remembers the place was called ‘Comet Ping Pong’ (albeit I see where the confusion arises)

One of the weirdest things is that Comet Ping Pong is still open.

It was on an episode of Diners Drive-ins and Dives and I almost jumped out of my seat when he said the name.
