I've had to use that quote a good number times over the last few years.

2. I think the key factor is that while the Past is the Past we *do* have to consider whether So and So is doing harm in the Present...and/or constitutes a threat in the Future. Maybe the goal shouldn't be Revenge but Harm Reduction. We can't let you keep on hurting people.

Well you have to atrocity right back at the bastards, else people might think atrociting is OK.

It killed me that they seem to have swapped from Sylvanus to Garrosh as the main bad between the revamped old world quests and the later patches. Would have made this whole theme so much more consistent, and part of a through line from Putress rather than coming from left field.
