Inside me are two wolves. The first wolf goes 'but I liked being represented by national figures in Stoke Newington and Kings Cross'. The second wolf goes 'thank god I will never have to hear unevidenced and mad opinions about my local MP again'.

Just going through a list of by-elections and wow I'd forgotten how mad some of the 2019-24 Parliament was. The brief chip-shop themed parliamentary career of Steve Tuckwell. Margaret Ferrier's Infectious Ride. Neil Parish's sticky end. All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Saturday evenings during the 2019-24 parliament were a blast, tbh. Watching Strictly whilst scrolling and waiting for the latest inevitable marmalade-dropper from the Sunday press. It was extremely entertaining. And that isn't a good thing.

I used the One Weird Trick of living on a different continent for most of it, and as soon as I get back, politics goes all weird over there instead.
