I can't tell you how much better I feel in every concievable way since discovering I had severe sleep apnea and getting a CPAP machine. I didn't even know what sleep apnea was as it destroyed my mind body and soul. It can kill you.

The one thing I'll miss is that my terrible sleep allowed me to edit my dreams. Constantly jostling myself awake allowed me to remember my dream, think about how it could be better, fall asleep, and redream it over and over. Some of them became comics. Now I can't even remember my dreams.

My partner was angry the morning after her first CPAP sleep. "This is how you feel after sleeping all the time?!" Glad you've joined the Breathe In Your Sleep Club! 😊

This. It makes such a difference. I was always falling asleep every time I sat down in the day (to the point where I did it while driving and crashed the car). Since getting the CPAP I no longer do this and can go to the theatre or cinema again.

I thought it was just a snoring thing but that's just a warning sign. It means your dumb body forgets to breathe while you're asleep and every part of your body experiences constant suffocation without you noticing. It's like drowning yourself for 8 hours a day.

Do you get a full night's sleep but wake up feeling like death? Does your whole body feel off in ways you can't explain? Research signs of Sleep Apnea. Get a sleep test. You can't diagnose it yourself, cuz you sleepin'.

Hear hear. I didn't get diagnosed until I shared a hotel room with a friend. She got on me until I got tested because my breathing stops terrified her.

I figured it out with my husband. I didn't wake up often, but when I did he was ALWAYS awake at least a bit. He also was VERY hot like a wood stove. He got tested, and yes, apnea. Much better now. Cooler, too!

It did actually kill Carrie Fisher. That wasn't part of the US headlines, but if you read articles from the BBC, or to the very bottom of the US articles, it's there. It was literally life-changing for me. I'm so happy for you!!
