i know it's more complicated than just this but we're currently in a situation at work where my coworkers say copilot can't do anything for them until they get shown how to set the model underneath the harness to claude and suddenly they like the results they get. and these are BD people, not coders

It’s very funny that Claude in Excel whips copilot’s ass. Claude in Google Workspace also whips ass compared to Gemini. Chinese frontier models are pretty good at spreadsheets too but usually not an option for a business guy at random company.

I've heard this as well. though it is kind of odd and I wouldn't expect it to last forever or even very long. surely Google at least can figure out what they are doing wrong

Gemini is frustrating in that it should work better with built in connectors to everything but it really just doesn’t.

i think they probably will but consumer sentiment is such a strong force that "but claude is the one I like" might set in fast

This is completely crackpot, but it really does feel like Claude is better because it's the only AI company that is willing to accept that the natural register/understanding of the world for an LLM is 'mildly neurotic liberal aunt' instead of spending half of their energy fighting it.
