My 2025 talk 'Gyms, Zoos, and Museums: Your documentation should be in-game' is now also available in text format, for those who like to read instead of watch: rystorm.com/blog/gyms-zo... And if you haven't seen it yet, there is an all new video too, with bonus material on the history of Zoos!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it when folks tell me they liked it! (Also I prefer 'Robin-Yann' my full first name. I have a strange Dutch double-barrel name, and I've been making a thing about mentioning it more often and earlier on. No worries, just mentioning it!)

I watched the video version of this yesterday and was totally stunned because I had already been doing this at times -- but I have also found myself stuck in the past writing so much documentation at the same time!

When I worked in AAA I was being told we needed to write the stuff so higher-ups could read it for approval. (I do not think they were reading any of it.)

Very much so, it feels like a huge time hole. Instead giving leadership a 5 minute video of a Zoo or Gym run through does work. They actually watch that. (Except engineering leads. They still need docs)

Thank you to many folks for their feedback, compliments, and suggestions on this talk, article, and video over the last year. I super appreciate all of it, and I am glad folks have enjoyed it. And I am even happier to see so many more folks using Gyms, Zoos, and Museums!

Hah I was scrolling and saw this *while* watching your video, it's great already (3 minutes in) and will share with my audience when I'm done watching :)
