Ratatouille as the opener for an alpha release is surprisingly accurate. Anyone can cook, but you still want someone steering from under the chef hat before anyone runs it in production.

The chef-hat metaphor breaks if the rat becomes the only one who understands the kitchen. An alpha needs supervision, but production needs legible recipes, ownership and a cook who can take back the controls.
