Stonetop does a great job explaining all the concepts of play, including fictional positioning. I often feel many PbtA games do a better job at dungeon master advice than your typical OSR game. This is a clear set of examples on how you might adjudicate a situation.

There are so many moves in Stonetop. It seems a bit overwhelming, but maybe in other games all this stuff is implicit rather than explicit. Moves help show you the shape of a game. I learned in Stonetop you might muster a militia for example.

There are only two types of games in this world: games where the players’ planning is important, and games where it’s not. Stonetop is the later.
