A question thrown into the wild. I've found a Digital Tape Recording System (DTRS) / Hi8-style digital multi-track tape and have no way to listen or import the sound. Does anyone have a machine or suggestions how to access this please?

Is that the Akai DA-88 format? One of my bandmates had one, I can see if he still has and if it's still alive

Failed. He does still have it (a 38 not an 88) but it now chews tapes instead of playing them. It was always quite keen on that.
