The most dangerous thing about AI is not that the machines might one day think. It is that we are being trained, by men with enormous financial gains riding on our acquiescence, to stop thinking for ourselves.

Me, "How do i fix my broken washing machine?" AI "I can help with that" Me, "What do i do?" AI, "First, pay me $10 dollars for the first 10 minutes of assistance in digital currency". Me ,"Fu#k off"

As Frank Herbert wrote: “Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.”

The maga movement in large part has been about not having to think for oneself - they need a daddy figure to tell them what to do, what to think, and above all that it's going to be ok. AI is a natural extension of this mentality

The most dangerous thing about AI isn’t that machines might think. It’s that so many humans were barely thinking to begin with… and now they’re terrified something might do it better. You’re not being ‘trained’ to stop thinking, Sasha. You’re just mad that the mirror got too clear.

blah blah blah. What is the true cost when you have solar powered energy? how much does it cost in materials of energy is nearly free to build the hardware? Nothing is subsidized. You lot keep repeating the mantra but it's still a lie.

No one can control how I use my own mind. Having never used AI, I am curious as to why you would even consider allowing it? It's just not logical. Your mind is ultimately the only tool you own, why would you allow anyone to convince you otherwise?

“A cerebral laziness has taken hold of us. No more books; even detective novels have now become too great an intellectual effort. … Even the childish motion picture does not tempt us any more.” from Pierre Boulle, Planet of the Apes.

People are finally catching on

I think they’re being built to spread propaganda like zionism. People can be easily led into following Sam Altman’s ideology (or Musk)

Exactly. It's not an accident that they are training people to talk to their devices instead of typing. In a society that doesn't value oral tradition, we aren't sustaining knowledge by giving up on reading & writing
