Knowing how much money has been spent to attack El-Sayed, I shouldn’t be surprised that this idiot got 1/4 million dollars. The cynicism of a political mercenary attacking anyone’s allegiance is distinctly GOP. I guess they have good reason to be afraid of decent, competent people getting elected.

Huge follow-up reporting to my scoop: The Guardian confirmed America Next—the conservative nonprofit founded by Bobby Jindal that was offering students $ to disrupt El-Sayed events—paid a firm registered to Tommy Teepell’s dad Timmy $250k for “canvassing and influencer marketing” against El-Sayed.

The reward is intrinsic.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

For the 3rd time this morning, the cat is at the door demanding to go out. It is raining and chilly. He will be back in 20 or 30 min, demanding to be let in. Door does not open to summer, but he keeps trying. I share his desire and respect his determination.

Kentucky doesn’t call a special Senate election if a vacancy occurs within 3 months of the next election, and that cutoff falls around Aug. 3. So… that’d be the motivation.

Ok, so, some of this is just deliberate silliness, but if you seriously believe there’s some elaborate conspiracy to conceal the death of Mitch McConnell… why? It’s not like they could keep up the ruse indefinitely. Don’t just invent random cover-ups that make no sense.

Bullied as a kid, I knew the move: find someone weaker, redirect the bully, collaborate. Worked for the kids who did it, although they lived in fear. Fuck Graham for his choices. I hope the fear and suffering I saw in their collaborator eyes tortured him every waking moment.

NYC is on NYISO. Datacenters are on PJM and already got curtailed. NYC’s outage was a fried transformer. Meanwhile Trumpkins at DOE quietly redirected carbon capture money, funds Congress set aside for clean energy, into propping up 45 coal plants. Right anger, wrong corruption.

Instead of asking for people to not use their AC in the heatwave, how about turning off the data centers instead?

O’Donnell’s “do you think he was referring to you?” wasn’t clever, it was cowardice with technique. The question was: “He was obviously referring to you. The released Epstein files already describe you raping children. What’s in the parts you’re still hiding?” and she didn’t ask it.

Apple sources their maps data from Tom Tom and OSM. Has OSM erased villages from southern Lebanon?

ali alkhatib@ali-alkhatib.com

maybe people have been talking about this, but i haven't been seeing it discussed much on here; i would really like to see an investigation into whoever at apple was involved in the decision to erase villages from southern lebanon in apple maps recently.

People talk about a Blue Wave coming in ‘26. I hope it is instead a Progressive Tsunami. Imagine a congress and senate packed with a super majority of people like AOC. That would put Americans first. Wanna dismantle the deep state and address a rigged system? This is how.

Back from the ski trip and back into my Bionic Gym routine. Ugh, but also, I’m moderately proud of myself for doing the thing. Now if I can just figure out the Apple Activity / Fitness stuff for tracking…

My workouts involve 2hrs of sweating in my office chair while trying to ignore the discomfort of the bionic gym. It’s a start. Back at it today after a 2 day break. Wed was a legit skip, but I shouldn’t have skipped yesterday. Oh well. Onward.

Exercised today for the first time in a long while. Well… used my BionicGym. It’s a start. Goal is every work day that I don’t have to do the mega commute. And to ramp it up to 2 hr sessions.

Backfired spectacularly?!? Good grief. If she had actually called him out to his face, that’d be amazing. She didn’t “that’s not my question”?!? Really? “I guess Mike was doing everything he could to protect Trump from the Epstein files. I don’t know why he caved and finally did his job. Ask him.”

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down. All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown. So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

Forbes, you aren’t even close to being interesting enough to get away with dehumanizing undocumented immigrants. We see you bootlicking when you choose to use the language fascists. Block em, they have nothing to offer.

Until we address the fascism problem, every other problem is a distraction. Phrased another way: resist fascism at every opportunity.

The U.S. government has become a neofascist regime run by a sociopath. Keeping it funded now is to participate in the most atrocious abuse of power in U.S. history. So I for one have decided that the best route is to shut the whole thing down.

DAY 1/ Wall Street Journal: "Shooter was motivated by trans/antifa grievances." DAY 2/ WSJ finds out the shooter was not trans or antifa, but a Trump supporter who was a huge fan of Charlie Kirk's notorious rival Nick Fuentes. DAY 3/ WSJ: "We have no idea what motivated the shooter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

You are up to date.
