At 5 MW, it’s ice to know McMaster University is pretty competitive. Although, being Canadian, the reactor is bigger and there is one less down.

was told that for a time the NC State nuclear plant didn't have an Argon scrubber so it was dispersing radioactive particles into the air around the engineering buildings.

Don’t worry, Missouri will still lose in the first round. M-I-Z!! #mizzou

That's not quite 10.21 gigawatts.

Good morning @hulcricket.bsky.social

Hence the Air Raid!

Glow Cougs!

I must taste the forbidden nuclear cheddar

This is where they make Cougar Glowing Gold

@gameovergreggy.bsky.social

That's how Mizzou got into the SEC. You can't say no to a nuclear power.

RI punching above its weight.

Hahahaha suck it aggies *read footnote* Aw, shit

Love seeing Reed in the Top 15. Beautiful campus

Went to the WSU reactor in a physics or chemistry class many many years ago.

Tune in this Saturday for the highly contested Big Ten matchup between #6 Penn State and #10 Wisconsin

The Texas reactor is at the Pickle Research Campus and it’s named for a guy, but I like to think they’re seeing how bright they can make a gherkin glow.

McMaster's is 5 MW. 🇨🇦

Big East, that's a nice conference you have there. It would be a shame if you didn't include Rhode Island and something happened to it.

When I remember bringing FRIB to our crib

It’s consistently ranked number 1.

*nuclear reactor

They're making A LOT of popcorn.

Making isotopes for nuclear medicine research

More efficient way to make meth. :-)

No no. it is ALSO worth ranking based on awesomeness of mascot, and Peter the Anteater comes out the clear winner of this lot.

They're all in a messaging chat with Iran. Too soon?

Not sure I trust a bunch of East Jesus, MO COMO folk with nuclear power

Illinois used to have one, which was decommissioned in the '90s. They are supposedly thinking of launching a new microreactor which would have 15MW of capacity. Hope that this becomes more commonplace. npre.illinois.edu/about/illino...

Hell yeah, MIZ

Never got to visit the one at Maryland as part of a seminar class I was taking in the fall of 2001 because of uh some things that happened in September ….

Huh. A lot more universities have nuclear reactors than I thought.

LOL why does Reed have a nuclear reactor?

Had to surrender my phone before touring the Oregon State reactor, but happy to report a picture of Homer’s likeness in the control room.

I was in grad school in 2007 when we were ranked #1 for one glorious week. It was amazing. Everyone was smiling. Stranger would just wave at you. Professors didn't assign any homework. I was all like, "Is this what it's like at Alabama ALL the time?"

*THE* Ohio State Nuclear Reactor

tired: sec is a football conference wired: sec is a basketball conference inspired: sec is a nuclear conference

MIZ!

this rocks so much Sickos Committee

Go Beavs baby
