In terms of license: I plan to open-source both sifa-web and sifa-app after/at launch (so after beta), which afaik is also needed to get it into the official F-Droid catalog.

In terms of pricing: not decided yet πŸ˜…. Either a one-time purchase for the app itself, or an in-app-purchase (in case of the app and playstore variants that is). Maybe something like Obsidian Catalyst (a free forever, optional one-off tiered supporter payment)

Please no app :/ Everything you do is possible on the Web. Don't go Apple's and Google's way out of our incredible universal Web platform.

Oh I'm with you that the web is the heart of it, that is also why I started there. The app is an extra option for people who want a native install and app-store discovery (and we got a lot of requests for this).

I see these just as distribution channels for the people who want it, not as the business model. Those who don't can still choice the F-droid, PWA or web version. Open web and open source is the plan.

> Those who don't can still choice the F-droid, PWA or web version. Yes in the short-term. But ususally on the long-term, all new users come from "the app", making other apps forget the Web, and those how don't want to play by google or apple's rules anymore are left without Websites for lots.

BTW: no need to search for Sifa in the app stores, we're not in there yet. So far I've built with a future app in mind, and for now I'm just testing the development/publication pipelines and setup to see if/what needs to change in the API/SDK to make an app happen in the first place πŸ˜…

First order of business is still some alpha things the need to be knocked out, but once the foundation and website reach ßeta, mobile app development will commence.
