unfortunately if i'm playin steam games every controller other than the steam controller is officially the incorrect choice as of 2026.

That’s strange, I use PS5 controllers all the time on Steam, and PC in general, w/o issue. Once in a blue moon a game just won’t work w it at all, but that’s usually if it’s an older game and/or made by a smaller studio. Have you tried playing w controller templates in steam’s settings?

Is it really that good? I am the kinda person that plays different games with different controllers due to their feel, and I heard the steam controller can feel cheap at times. Is it that good?

I’m so DualSense edge headed that I can’t go back to the normal DualSense, wish they would make limited edition DualSense edge versions but can only imagine how much of a headache that would be working with the modular design

Mainly for the back paddles, the sticks on the edge still tend to get stick drift easy so I’d recommend going for a scuf controller for better build quality
