this low poly skull lantern by 'obscura' showcases some serious modelling/texturing skill. it's just 40 tris!!!
Youโre not seeing double. Four Magic artists took four of their own classic compositions through Jaceโs Echoverse, and each one came out as something new. See what came out the other side when Duality Distorted arrives in the Chaos Vault, coming soon.
Claude Francis Barryโs paintings of WW1 are amongst the most accomplished of his works, with his images of searchlights across London being the most evocative - here (1918) he used small concentrated dots of colour to create an atmospheric haze of light.
Been playing the original Castlevania for the NES on my Retroid Pocket Nova. It's been a great (hard, frustrating) experience, even if I'm definitely abusing save states.
I did finally beat Castlevania! Dracula is a huge difficulty spike, but if you can get past his first phase the second phase is super cheese-able with holy water. Overall a fun, enjoyable time.
One minute your looking into the Sega Saturn because Panzer Dragoon is cool and then all of a sudden you're watching a long play of something called "Tryrush Deppy".
I bought tons of retro CG books from Japan, btw.
The package was 12 kg (!).
โWe canโt do this anymore, we forgot howโ will not be a thing anymore.
Will post more photos in the thread.
Good news? In video games?
I'm very excited about this project. The team, the art, the concept, the general vibe of itโeverything about it seems very much my exact kind of thing.
Equally thrilled and humbled to announce that our studio has secured $35M+ in our Series B to develop our upcoming "strandbox" game Gardens.
Some new hints to what the Gardens grow, new key art, and a sign up for our Closed Pre-Alpha Playtests, in our new blog post!

Part of why I don't like the AI-or-bust economy is the constant flopsweat of people on the news who say this HAS to work. Quit making everyone so anxious. Goddamn. If this is the next Google then why are you acting like this? I don't remember being told to buy an iPhone at gunpoint.
Dark Souls on CRT returns, finally!
Would you believe that Blighttown was frustrating to photograph?
My main obstacle in shooting modern games like this is readability. Increasingly hard to tell what's even going on in some of these.

Sorry it literally burns an entire generation of game developers to ash to make one (1) game like Baldurs Gate 3, and then the whole industry passes into the west like the elves.

Castlevania feels very soulslike in that it throws some grade-A bullshit at you that feels insurmountable at first, but it also doesn't demand *perfect* gameplay, and often there's a perpendicular solution to get around certain challenges.
*Sitting down backward on chair* Now, we have a lot of fun on bluesky dot social *stops* *thinks for a minute* w
Wait, actually I'm not sure that's true
When witches are cackling and telling you โFire burn and cauldron bubble,โ take a step back. Breathe. Those are normal things for fire and cauldrons to do. Theyโre trying to mess with you.
Other groups playing Lancer: politics, gender, the nature of violence, and whether love can bloom on a battlefield.

I doubt this was intentional, but the clouds are almost fit to a grid like they're being driven by low res pixel noise, something you see in modern procedural games occasionally.
