i will never stop shilling dead letter dept to people this game is so important to me. dead letter dept is a fabulously uncomfortable experience that i would describe as actual liminal horror. the horror of being stuck in between the life you can’t go back to and a “real” life you yearn for.

i love everything about this game. i bought it for myself and for all my steam friends. i bought the tshirt, the hoodie, the sweatshirt. i bought the soundtrack on three separate platforms and listen to it at my real dead end soul crushing data entry job. i see this game and it sees me.

eventually you’d end up with save file corruption, a symptom of which is that multiple party members in the selection screen would completely break, being blacked out as if they were gone, their names replaced with “I AM BROKEN SO VERY VERY BROKEN”

Deep Labyrinth for DS. It’s pretty obscure and not well loved for its clunky control scheme, but it just scratches a certain something for me that few other games have. It’s a first person dungeon crawler RPG like Kings Field with a magic system based on drawing and combining glyphs like Arx Fatalis

There’s also something about the exploration of the labyrinth that always brings me back to the game. There are some secrets to find by walking through false walls, but because the game is so barely documented online, it always feels like there could be more I haven’t found.

i feel like spider man's powers and general style would really lend well to a character action game. like i can definitely see why like 99% of spider man games are open world slop because that's also fitting for him but a bayonetta-style game would be really fun for him
