Are they actually a couple in the comic now or is that a bit?

I already knew a lot of Dreamworks’ movies were based on existing books or media… but of course Over the Hedge was based on a comic, I wouldn’t blame anyone for not knowing cos even I didn’t know about it lol

It's still going?????

The replies to this are breaking me. What do people mean that they didn't know there's a newspaper comic oh wait people don't read newspapers anymore, right, right. The comic had a very different tone from from the movie, I don't really remember them being similar beyond the characters.

Yes. The comic is still around. You can read us everyday at gocomics.com/overthehedge. Thanks for compliments! Onward.

I didn’t know over the hedge was based on a comic

i forgot it wasn't common knowledge

Oh right. Most Dreamworks films are adaptations.

Yesss it was

Always has been

Istg Over the hedge was my CHILDHOOD movie, I was like 4 when I saw it for the first time and I just found out NOW it's based on a comic Always knew they were canon

I fucking love these comics, i have 2 of the books they're so funny

Superimposing this onto angsty movie RJ now thanks

Realizing how little of the comic’s tone was considered unusable for the actual film might have been my first spark of cynicism for Hollywood growing up

Over The Hedge (the movie (never read the comic) is underrated)

We have this comic in my state but only on Sundays for some reason.

None of those are Pixar or even Disney movies, though.

I didn’t even know this existed lol. Is it based on the movie or is the movie based on it?

Always has been.

Fun fact the co-creator Michael Fry followed me on Twitter way back when cause I said I really like Over The Hedge they're incredibly based lol

dude its so so based i unironically love it
