Wish atlassian would do that for confluence.

Crazy. Always surprises me how many of these one-purpose tools get produced; seems like people would just point to or use Pandoc.

Google Docs lets you paste Markdown now! Maybe MS will add it to Word.

Released the fix! I was consuming the whatever was the latest stable release from markitdown lib. Looks the new version has some issues. I rolled back to the previous stable version. getmarkdown.com is back! Thanks again for reporting this Patrick! 🙏

Is that the same code as the one shared by Microsoft on that Github or is this one a different service?

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully it incentivizes them to participate in improving the existing open source libraries. Sharing it under the Microsoft GitHub org comes with a degree of quality expectation, that I hope they live up to.

However this converter is fairly rudimentary. There is a commercial tool called Writage, that really does a good job, which I'm not quite ready to give up on yet.

I completely agree! It’s awesome to see Microsoft embracing open standards. Supporting tools like WSL has really enhanced my workflow. I still find their reliance on VBA a bit outdated and restrictive. Moving towards more modern languages could truly unleash the full potential of their platforms.

Literally the same day I finally buy Writage. Damn.
