What’s the most car dependent and/or unwalkable tourism hot spot in the country?

Bangkok, it's near-tied with London and Paris for top city in international arrivals and has barely any rail network and the tourists only go by cab. Wait, you mean "in the country" - in that case, national US tourism assumes cars, including in particular the modern National Park system.

Currently saving up to do a SE Asia vacation sometime in the next couple years, and think we're going to avoid Bangkok for this reason lol

Only part of Southeast Asia with genuinely good public transport is Singapore.
