That’s awful. These places are not needed. If someone thinks they are, please have someone smart fix all the pollution and energy problems prior to ever buildings another one.

Not a single data center will be going up near a well-to-do neighborhood, especially if a Republican politician lives there. Datacenters will take up forests and strategically be placed near low income, minority wavy areas where it's cheap to build.

Same in Wisconsin, as is Crowley the Dem nominees for Gov in Wisc. There, the GOP nominee is running to the left of the Dem on the issue. Unfortunately consequence of nominating a centrist. Too bad Hong didn't win the primary.

In Texas, cattle ranchers are saying that when the data centers opened next to their farm that their cattle aborted their calfs. Their herd was cut in half.

They could use quieter water cooled methods but they chose the cheapest fan model.

Good point and fair callout. Better plan - the data centers need to be silent and have net zero environmental impact or they don't get built.
