One of the candidates in the GOP primary runoff for Railroad Commissioner (oil/gas regulator) is running explicitly on an anti sharia platform. How sharia law is involved with regulating oil and gas is beyond me.

Keeping their base ignorant and keeping them scared is an extremely old republican strategy just like the Obama death panels.

Adhering to the tenets of Sharia Law is entirely voluntary in America. It does not override constitutional rights and never has. This is all just theater.
