Does it matter what motivates Trump to do any particularity of stupidity? Seriously. Why should we give it another thought? If I imagine the highest possible motivation, it is that something universal (maybe a god or gods?) wants to finally decide if humanity deserves to evolve or die. One choice

It's the elephant in the room. Having a trade relationship with the US has been normal for decades, nafta and cusma, and for the last few years we've known about the abuse of girls and I think that makes it easier to tell the US to collectively F off. They voted for that.
