Did you find anything about the Sheriff race in Winnebago County IL? Independent Barcelona challenging incumbent GOP Carauna. Barcelona promising full audit and transparency (incumbent notorious for overspending) but not a lot of other detail I can find. Curious.

Connecticut abolished sheriffs in 2000 (and a few other states don’t have sheriffs or elected prosecutors either.) Other states really should consider following suit!
