Data centers don’t pollute. This headline is egregiously deceptive. Data centers consume power and require cooling. These systems can be exceptionally clean or exceptionally dirty. Make the distinction.

C'est un scandale que des données centrées potentiellement devenant la plus importante pollution climatique aux Etats-Unis ! Comment peut-on prétendre construire un avenir durable dans le secteur tech sans tenir compte des impacts environnementaux de nos projets ?

Doesn't surprise me in the least bit that Amazon will go with the less viable option to power a data center. They don't care about the particulate matter or noise that's outputted from the natural gas engines as long as they're making money from the data center itself.

Interesting! These data centers are being led by a team from Gensler! Here’s the original reporting link: newsletter.cleanview.co/p/scoop-amaz...

Trump/Abbott are allowing bezos to pollute the air in texas. The particulate pollution from gas is very small and gets into peoples lungs = cancer. The plant will burn natural gas and is permitted to release 33 million tons of carbon dioxide per year — more than any other power plant in the US
