I sympathize with this idea. But the problem is other meat sources are subject to USDA inspections and regulations. Whatever that is worth any more. There are lot numbers, and there is tracking. It's a risk to incentivize money-making from untraceable and unaccountable food sources.

And the only venison will be from venison ranchers aka the broligarchs, who are trying to steal everything that’s not nailed down for their state sized estates and private armies, who do you all think is going to buy up our national park lands?

And we eat the meat, if there’s more than we have freezer space for we give it to shelters and family

Chronic wasting disease…a very good reason to not eat venison.
