The Supreme Court and the Republicans are counting on the next Democratic President to be shy about using the new powers granted by the court's decisions. The next Democratic President must use these powers unapologetically and strategically to push forward policies that favor average Americans.

There is no chance a Democratic president will ever have these powers. IMO it's misleading to suggest that one might. We're far past even the pretense that the law is applied equaly. OTOH a Dem president could force SCOTUS to overturn their current decisions.
