America is not great and never has been. Our infant mortality rate, history of slaughter and enslavement, and exaltation of greed are just a few of the many disqualifiers. American exceptionalism is a myth propagated by relentless propaganda.

@ossoff.bsky.social is wise beyond his years. Although he lacks the usual years of experience we typically look for in a president, he should be seriously considered. Let’s face it, Trump had no experience, but was “elected.” We deserve better!

Really like this guy. Not afraid to call out the racism when he sees it and hears it. More who have a public platforms need to follow his lead and not whitewash or have weak responses. It’s not that hard.

Canada here - Americans you are not exceptional - Canada, France, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Finland, and on and on all welcome all have free democracies- and care more for their people - they just dont have to tell eveyone they meet that they are the best

Based on how it was before trump, how easy is it to immigrate to some of those other countries compared to the US. Are there more requirements to become a citizen of those countries?

well, fine, but you’re not ‘a beacon to the world’, and this bizarre/yet-endlessly-repeated ritual incantation of your state religion is a big part if the reason you’re in the mess you are in now

Yeah, I don't think the US is either exceptional or a beacon to the world anymore. It will take a long time - a lot of work - if ever to even be able to hold up our heads in other countries.
