The ongoing lack of joy from English metro media politics: awaiting the Burnham deckchair as the afka Labour Brexit ‘Britain’ Titanic ploughs on.

God help this country, Burnham is a disgrace

Any Labour PM gets this treatment from the press. But with the febrile nature of political discourse in the UK now, even the left are treating their own like this. Nobody will ever be the right shade of left for them.

he’s a rancid, authoritarian, bigot.

It's the same picture.

A competent journalist would have got it right first time.

Thanks!

@andrewsparrowgdn.bsky.social "stood proudly with God against" should be "with, not against"!

Please keep speculating and making stuff up, every few minutes whilst nothing has changed. It's SO useful.

Ideally the PM will go now, dragging it out until September just wastes more time.

And who paved the easy way for Burnham to just slither into 10? Just another knee bender to the 💰💰 already U-Turned more time's than a learner driver on all he promised before he's even took up residency, different skin same old shoe's

Well I hope you're satisfied, @theguardian.com - whatever happens next will be partly your fault (just cancelled my subscription).

After the last 10 years - we deserve Farage as our PM . Maybe that’s the only way we’ll learn

And vote for no other party. Across the UK just one in 10 people trust politicians. Every ballot paper should include a certain box. Most people could then put a X in "None of the Above".
