The Governmentโ„ข has made an ad about all these protests happening around the world, and itโ€™s surprisingly honest and informative.

Astonished to see so many people actively defending more north sea gas licences from Burnham. "oh we need the gas though" "oh but china is worse" "oh but heat pumps are expensive" I want to scream.

Fungal grotto in a tree stump. I see these shrooms (or ones like them) a lot around here and I really like them. Isn't brown supposed to be a boring colour? Stuff like this makes me disagree ๐Ÿ™‚

Weโ€™re out here at Tennyson Fall Fest in Denver with our Spooky Season Collection! Its a beautiful day to take home some pottery โ˜•๏ธ ๐ŸŽƒ

I found this little weirdo on a strip of cut grass by the beach. Then the sun came out and all the grass lit up with a nice deep green, so I had to snap a pic. I'm never sure if I'm seeing something new or not; they change so much in just 24 hours.

The NHS's revised guidance on single-sex wards is cruel, unworkable and LGBTIQA+ Greens calls on Labour to withdraw it and reform the Equality Act.

As relevant now as it was then. Bryant was being interviewed about her plan to open conversion torture centres for gay people. At the time, she was platformed and respected for her hateful ideas because she operated within the bounds of respectability and decorum.

They're just concerned about the children. Trans people deserve "dignity and respect", they say. That is a lie. They are segregationists and exterminationists, or are willing to launder those ideas as "legitimate concerns" knowing full well what the consequences are. The difference is academic.

bbc.co.ukTrans people should use hospital spaces according to biological sex, NHS England saysNew guidance says trans patients should be cared for on single-sex hospital wards or bays that align with their biological sex.

"I do not have the luxury or the privilege to sit there and be civil with people who do not acknowledge my full humanity." Do not sit down with these people. Pie them, like Thom Higgins did, and tell them to fuck off, like @monaeltahawy.bsky.social does. Anita Bryant died a bigot.

She was just concerned about the children, she claimed. "I love gay people", she claimed. She was an exterminationist, but for some reason it was the pie that was shocking; a completely harmless act, but one which fell outside the bounds of respectability and decorum.

This shield of respectability and decorum is what protects the establishment exterminationism practiced today against marginalised people in the UK, particularly trans people. JK Rowling. The BBC. The EHRC. Andy Burnham. Even supposed progressives like Adrian Ramsay of the Greens.

These toadstools appeared overnight and were gone two days later. They're so bizarre. I know the important parts live in the soil itself, so I'm hopeful this means my raised bed has a healthy fungal component to go with all the humus and wee beasties ๐Ÿ˜

Another one of my "leave it and see" pots has produced more wild cabbage type things. I think it's a bit late in the year for them to come to much, but they're always nice to see.

There is no such thing as a "Center-Right". There is no fascism light. These people are all the same once you pull the mask off. They'll hand power to open fascists if the alternative is helping the poor and marginalized and possibly inconveniencing the wealthy. Every single time.

Supremely disappointing. There is no way to safely store nuclear waste for thousands of years, and it's already being horrifically mismanaged. Future generations should not inherit this burden. There's no guarantee they'll even know where it's stored in 100 years, let alone a thousand.

I can see an argument for not prioritising closing nuclear plants over fossil plants. Climate collapse is here right now. But this motion goes further than that and even allows for the construction of new plants, as well as resurrecting nonsense discussions about 'nuclear baseload'. Really bad. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

This is going to blow up so badly, but it is the right thing to do. It's like transphobia in the party. We must clearly state that embracing trans liberation does not make cis people less safe. Quite the opposite. Likewise, condemning Zionism is not condemning Jews. Ethnostates harm everybody.

Following the vote on the anti-Zionist policy at Green Party Conference, the 5 Green MPs, the Leader and Co-Deputy Leaders have issued a joint statement

It's amazing where you can find chickweed if you look. Thriving at the top of an old tree trunk! A good place to disperse seeds I suppose. It's the big sort that goes all angular when it seeds. I should probably learn the proper names at some point. ๐Ÿ˜…

The Green party conference starts on Friday so if you attending in person or online let's get some of our motion's passed that will give hope to Trans people in England and Wales:

Earlier in the year I started putting the weeds from my gardening in a big old tub of water. I thought that it'd help kill off the roots and seeds before I put it all on the compost heap. Today was the Day of Emptying. The SMELL. ๐Ÿ˜‚ It looked good for the heap though!

If immigration is a problem, as politicians have told us for decades it is, why don't they ever stop it? The answer is; it not a problem it's vital. But it's a very useful shiny bauble to distract you racist mugs with, while politicians sell off your nurseries and hospitals to their donors.

Here we go again. Labour can get tae fuck.

BREAKING: Massive Attackโ€™s Rob Del Naja arrested under the UK Terrorism Act outside Labour Party conference venue. The legendary musician was arrested after peacefully holding โ€œI oppose genocide - I support Palestine Actionโ€ on a paper sign on the eve of Labourโ€™s conference.

My wild strawberry plant is now a sprawling morass of wild strawberry plants, but not a single flower or fruit all year. There's apparently a 'barren' species, but that flowers without fruits. So I don't think that's the issue here. Maybe next year? Not that it matters too much, it's still nice. ๐Ÿ™‚

I plopped a spare sunflower seedling here earlier in the year and kept forgetting about it. Now it's produced the world's tiniest sunflower. My mood has been arse recently and I keep feeling really bad for neglecting it, even though it obviously doesn't care. Maybe I need my meds checked again. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Getting started on next year's carrot seeds ๐Ÿ™‚ It'll be interesting to see if these grow into bizarre mutant shapes like the last batch. That was fun.

When they say we can't afford the state pension or the NHS or any other unversal service, what they mean is they want to hoard even more wealth to add to their mountains of gold, and they're willing to let us die in the gutter rather than enjoy a retirement, to get it.
