Oh my. It's taken from the right side of an aircraft flying past Cape Canaveral just as the Artemis II mission was taking off. Source: Reddit (posted by u/Spook_485; I don't know if that's the person who took the video)

That’s wild. Considering they shut down airspace in the Pacific in case it needed to crash 🤷🏻‍♀️

Despite spending more time on FlightRadar24 than is healthy, I was unable to identify the flight. The post on Reddit says it was a United flight, but the quick glimpse of the engine pylon suggests it's a Delta A320 Classic series aircraft. Any insight welcome.

The only plane that looks like it was in the right position to me is a 757

That's what I thought, but I don't think the nacelle pylon shape or colour works

I think I've found it: N766YX/RPA3680 A United Express flight. Different plane type but the paint job is a dead ringer. I was looking at the wrong time earlier, possibly you were as well.

The aircraft appears to be flying a circle around the launch site. That's the only way a shot this long can stay centered in the frame.

I am glad many got to see this launch. I spent the first few minutes at home with a tight chest and high stress (both Challenger and Columbia still weight on me decades later). Once they got out of the atmosphere, I then breathed a sigh of relief.

These airplane videos are unbelievable - I was lucky enough to see Firefly's Noise of Summer from the air but seeing an SLS take off for the moon is next-level.
