This is a PR & scouting opportunity. Winter Park has a third tier Soccer team Club de Lyon, & Orlando a top tier team. Both should be inviting him to a game & scouting him. He'd be too young for the kid academy, but they should be able to find a better league for this kid to play & develop in.

Winter Park has always been racist. Park Ave runs along the train tracks and in the 80's the other side of the tracks were old family homes owned predominantly by multigenerational black families. Hannibal square had drug problems and the city used it as an excuse to clear and gentrify to mills ave.

This is the most outrageous thing I have ever seen. Calling the police on a THREE YEAR OLD and because he so good at soccer he makes the older kids look bad! Can you honestly believe this?? A THREE YEAR OLD! You people are out of your damn minds and should be ashamed of your sorry ass selves!

uh, he didn't call police on the kid but on the kid's parents. cuz they're responsible for managing his behavior. and don't overlook the report that this 3yo soccer 'wizard' was also pushing other kids. tough situation; good call. imho.

i'll say what i i said yesterday. i lived in orlando for 4 years. worked all over the entire metro. winter park, in particular, has rich, white, hoity-toity, bougie maga karens and chads. the cops there are also knobs. especially around the train station and shopping areas. totally predictable.

Let me get this straight. We have 5 full minutes of police body cam footage about a 3 year old who was kicked out of soccer for being too good, but there are ICE agents, masked & armed ice agents, killing people in our streets and most of them still aren't wearing body cams though funding is there. 😡

In history, you have exceptional people of all races. They are once in a lifetime born. If encouraged, the sometimes go one to do incredible things. To treat this talented little guy as if he is an anomaly, to call the POLICE on an exceptional kid? Does the hate ever end?

The guy who called the cops and asked his “director” if he could kick out the star kid’s family appears to be black. Why are there so many comments about this being about racism instead of just assholes?

This story is so confusing, the i9 employee was saying the boy was pushing and redirected to not push - but the rough play continued? i9 is the least competitive league you can find for kids. They rotate players all the time so everyone gets playing time. Wondering if there is more to it.

If the kid’s that good, he was probably being a THREE YEAR OLD and being a little too excited. Because ya know, he’s 3. All the adults involved should be embarrassed that they can’t conduct themselves like adults and sort things out *for* the kids, not their own egos.

Lots of holes in the story. Coach was saying parents were being disrespectful? Maybe didn’t like the rotation? All the kids supposed to get equal playing time in that league. Maybe more will come out later.

Agreed. If a coach can’t handle teaching little kids how to play a game, he needs a new job. Star kid’s folks should get him playing in a more ‘serious’ league if he’s that advanced. *All* the parents need to act right and start teaching their kids how to play well with others.

I think it’d be best if they move the kid up into a higher age level where his development will be more challenging and the game will be more enjoyable for the other kids. It’s done often. There’s no need for parents to be involved. The org. that runs this program should have a plan in place.

So police asked if they wanted to felon trespass... So the police report on parents were just asked to leave is fudgy.

I honestly think these people thought calling 911 was the same as calling ICE one poc they don't like. Probably for the best, but the intent is still insidious as was the action of these public servants
