Autistic adults: "We can show you how to love your autistic child better, because our neurotypical ableist culture makes that harder than it should be." Autism Grievance Parents: "We're good; we actually value neurotypical ableist culture more than we value our, or our kids', happiness. Kthxbye."

Or sometimes it's this... Autism grievance parents: "We're good. We learned early on that to belong—to survive—we need to hide our own neurodivergence. Difference terrifies us beyond belief. So force compliance and medicate what you can't mask." Nonacceptance is fear.

Anytime a kid is diagnosed the parents should be offered screening. When my son was dx (long before I was) they matched me with an experienced autism parent I could ask questions. An autistic adult would have been way more helpful.

Thanks to autistic adults I knew ABA could be traumatic. Thanks to autistic adults I know masking is dangerous. Everything I learn I search out autistic adult voices to make sure I’m doing what’s best for my child. I need a council of autistic adults I can pepper with questions!

Yeah that sums that up. They don't care about actually being able to meet autistic people halfway, they want our suffering & they want our compliance, not trying to understand us (because God forbid that we're actually people who want to be seen and heard.)🤬🤬🤬🫩

Honestly, the same could be said about any experience where an actual autistic person tries to teach Neurotypicals about autism. Usually, they don't want to hear from the legit source as much as they'd rather hear what is likely a bunch of misinformation
