Pedagogically I think you’d need to help kids understand the principles around critical thinking, what it looks like practically. Right now we rely far too heavily on rote knowledge testing. The way we evaluate in schools needs to shift to different forms of evaluation.

Just wait until political decision makers use LLMs to make better decisions.

As someone who works with LLMs pretty much daily there’s been a major shift in all popular models over the last couple of weeks. They’re becoming way too pliable.

I’ve observed the same pattern. LLMs intrinsically only offer one thing. Answers. Truth is coincidental. Answers, not truth.

You'd have to consciously instruct it not to be so agreeable. It's annoying.

It’s the worst part of using them, in my opinion.

They have no thinking skills. Don't treat them like they do.

this is a major problem in general with LLMs. they tend to be programmed to confirm your beliefs unless you really push it.
