Mostly I'm annoyed because I got up at 5:30 for this so now I know For Sure I could have gotten up at 6:30 and been totally fine.

There was an unlocked door at the bottom, so I COULD get out (and did, I went to go get coffee). But yes it was very much "the venue is on the other side of this locked door, alas."

(I'd actually gotten the time mixed up, so I was confused as to why nobody was letting me in until I checked the event time again. This is not why I got up so early: I genuinely thought it might take me four hours to get to the venue. It turned out it only took me 2.5.)
