Last time I was in there it was called Coopers (maybe fifteen years ago?) and yeah, it wasn't great.

I think we all just take Ryries as Edinburgh's 'railway pub' right? A solid boozer. Best to ignore the Waverley sadness and pretend it isn't there.

That said Ryries felt a tad gentrified last time I was in, upstairs at least

The Guardian's usually pretty good about getting some Scot/Wales/NI entries into its "UK 10 Best ____" articles, which makes me think we must all be doing REALLY badly at railway station pubs for there to not be a single one this time round.

There's a station pub at Waverley? I have absolutely no idea where that is, like many of the platforms at Waverley.

Adjacent to the Burger King / Marks & Spencer off the main ticket hall that now no longer has the ticket office. It's a Brew Dog these days.
