i wonder why theres still no way to host your own instance of bluesky. like mastadon if you dont like how like mastodon.social is run then you can make and host your own server that interfaces with everything on the fediverse. i feel thats needed for atproto. bsky.social is a single point of failure

you can self host almost every core of Bluesky (PDS, Relay, Jetstream, PLC Directory) and that would work similar to how instances in Mastodon. The hardest and most expensive part is the AppView (creating something with AtProto that is not Bluesky or other version of Bluesky)
