made these display stands for my partner to sell her hand-bound journals and sketchbooks at craft markets. i’ll film my work in the shop next time since i had fun editing this video!

thank youuu... it seems so simple and obvious, but it took me 1-2 hours of looking at it before figuring it out. i originally designed them with hinges that swung angled supported legs to the side, but it was pretty clumsy and unstable.

1-2 hours seems fast to me for an elegant solution. The bar to hold the stand in place is such a smart idea and then definitely lets you pack it completely flat versus any chain or anything under the stand-arm to hold it.
