Up all night following the #USElection? Follow up to nine news channels at once with one click/tap audio switching on vidgrid.tk.gg CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, Sky News, and more! Couple of neat features in the thread...

Any thought of open sourcing this tool? I love what you've done, and I have some ideas I'd love to work on, especially around controlling a remote instance.

Looks like CNN have killed the stream, I'm putting in protections to detect these and stop them from appearing

2. You don't even need to click the streams, you can use keyboard number keys to switch audio, or try pressing f to toggle full screen (and pay respects), and m to mute.

3. You don't have to just watch the streams available in the menu, you can paste in your own YouTube, Twitch, m3u8 or hls playlist streams and it will play them too. Source your own streams a little less legitimately than I did...

4. Swap to a bigger layout and you can drag and drop smaller streams to the big box, when there's an ad break, or when a key race alert is on!

This is the sign of a man with a lot of bandwidth and lot of GPU 😅 I should definitely do PWA mode, thank you for the inspiration!

That's this guy's project, vidgrid has always been up to 9. There's very little use even at that level so any further is catering for just a few enthusiasts with a lot more UX challenge.

If you hover over a stream, or tap on it, you should have a control bar pop up, and there is a X in that list. Is that not showing up for you?

I see it. I didn't see it with my mouse but I have a touchscreen and it showed up for me when I touched the box. Thanks

Same. I just realised that VidGrid on touchscreens (and even non-touch external/extended displays) doesn't show the toolbar when working with mouse/pointer but displays it when touched.
