So @zurichjs.com is over, and it was even lovelier than I thought it would be. The organizers @farisaziz.com @bugdan.dev @nadja-hesselbjerg.bsky.social and @colinscz.npmx.social have taken such good care of all of us ❤️. Let me show you some pictures:

🏎️ It started by me getting picked up from the airport by @farisaziz.com himself in his Porsche! It does not get any more Zurich than that 😂

We then went for lunch with a bunch of lovely people ❤️ With @matteogabriele.npmx.social @farisaziz.com @tobbe.dev @43081j.com

In the evening, we had the @zurichjs.com pre-conf meetup, and it was @acemarke.dev's birthday 🥳. Naturally, @farisaziz.com told everyone and we sang him happy birthday:

On the next day, I was giving my workshop "React Query Beyond the Basics" to a beautiful group of 16 people. Sadly, I didn't take any photos, BUT there was @tanstack.com branded chocolate for everyone. Don't ask why it's the old logo though 🙈

In the afternoon, the ZurichJs Chill 5k run happened, with (amongst others) @tobbe.dev @mkrl.xyz @kevinvancott.dev @chudy.me and of course the amazing @jyc.dev. It was more than 5k 😂

Then, off to the speaker dinner. Look at all these lovely people: speakers, organizers, panelists, MCs and their plus ones. We also did some bowling afterwards. I wasn't very good at it

Next day, the main event: @zurichjs.com conf 🔥. I didn't take many pictures because I was enjoying the conf so much, but as always, I was taking a picture of the lovely audience before my talk:

In other news, @zurichjs.com was also the biggest ever gathering of @tanstack.com maintainers. We even managed to wake Harry up and take a proper picture 😂

What happened at the afterparty stayed at the afterparty. I took no pictures. Swimming was involved, as was great food and karaoke until the police showed up. Suffice to say, it was legendary!

On Saturday, we did a great city tour. Some impressions:

🧗 Before we headed to the airport, @danielroe.dev took us bouldering. I think this is the only proven way to stop him from talking about taking us all bouldering 😂. We had fun (I wasn't very good at it):

My wife also enjoyed the conf and she isn't even in tech! To quote her: "I understand the words, but the sentences make no sense to me" 😂 This was also the first time she travelled with me to a conf but @zurichjs.com left such a good impression that it hopefully won't be the last 🫶

We're so glad she joined 🫶

@zurichjs.com was so special I can't put it in words. You have to experience the care, love and detail the organizers put into it first hand, hopefully in the NEXT edition of it 🔥
