Not sure when the next newsletter will be, so I'm just gonna try to give small status updates as they become relevant.

Translation: The text and implementation are done, working on fixing some last issues. Testing: Still ongoing. One tester said "players will find it very inconvenient that you cannot save or load in the Light World"... I was initially resistant, but I decided to add Save Points there in Chapter 4.

Ch4 PC Testing / Translation: Winding down. No longer looking for new issues, only fixing and checking remaining ones. Console Testing: Starts tomorrow. The goal is to test Chapter 1,2,3,4 on all platforms (PC,Mac,Switch,PS4,PS5)

PlayStation makes it a requirement to have trophies (achievements), so those will be one of the things that have to be tested. I don't think they're going to like testing the trophies though

Still console testing. There are fewer bugs, but there's a lot to go through. (Haven't even tested PS5 yet) In addition to fixing Ch3/Ch4, we also need to implement having saves from the DEMO carry over to the main game on consoles... We only received the technology to do this now. I hope it works!

In the next Chapters, all character-flavored tea items held in inventory and storage become the item "Rotten Tea", which heals only 10 HP.

The bug testing team just independently discovered Rotten Tea and asked if it was a bug lol

Does this mean that you don't have to pay for each chapter?

You pay for the full game, not chapter, chapter 5-7 would just be a game update, not a separate purchase

Every Deltarune youtube channel next vid: DELTARUNE will have MICROTRANSACTIONS?!? ...Followed up with a theory asserting that the player will need to pay real life money to purchse the Shadow Mantle that Seam lost and how this fits perfectly by connecting to W.D. Gaster's Gatcha addiciton.

So does anyone think that Toby should have more languages for Deltarune other than Japanese? It might help a lot of players who enjoy his game worldwide.

Nah trailer today deltarune tomorrow. I can totally see Toby releasing the trailer the day before the game launches so he can specifically acknowledge the meme by making the release date in the trailer “tomorrow”

I'm calling it now, at the end of the trailer the deltarune logo comes up and then slowly the word tomorrow fades in under it. Perfect way to announce the release date and acknowledge the meme.

Wouldn't be good for advertisement purposes but one can dream.

Although it wouldn't really be THAT good of an idea, I also think that the word of mouth would travel extremely fast with how ravenous this fanbase is, (me included).

Like at least two, maybe even three more times. Though one of them is an awkward side hug, another leads into Kris suplexing Ralsei per Undyne’s instructions, and the third is on Chapter 4’s weird route, where Ralsei casts Huggrave on Kris which arguably doesn’t count since Ralsei’s the hugger there
